A Different Approach to Smoking Cessation

We offer a treatment program that helps you quit cigarettes and vaping and stay quit.

Dr. Georger Kolodner

Triple Track Treatment uses methods that have been effective in the treatment of other substance use disorders, such as alcohol and pain pills, but have not frequently been applied to nicotine.

A Novel Approach

We use medication to ease your withdrawal discomfort, psychotherapy to resolve your indecision, and group support to reduce isolation.

Our Comprehensive Program Works on Three Tracks

Our psychotherapy model focuses on the internal conflict about using nicotine.

We prescribe medications to reduce or eliminate withdrawal symptoms, including cravings, and to prevent relapse.

2

We use group therapy to provide interpersonal support and focus on the role of family, friends, and others in the recovery community.

The Triple Track Treatment Phases

  • Quitting Phase: 3-4 Months
Focus on quitting with the help of medication and individual sessions with a physician, a therapist, and group sessions. The initial quitting phase last about 3-4 months depending on the persons preferred pace.
  • Staying Quit Phase: 8-9 Months
Deepen your commitment to staying quit with continued weekly sessions and medication on a schedule personalized to your needs. The staying quit phase lasts an additional 9-10 months.

Our 12-month program, divided into 2 phases, provides you with the short-term tools to help you break the addiction and the long-term tools to help you remain abstinent from nicotine.
